(Last updated: September 2018)

I. General Information

Thank you for visiting our website and for your interest in Deutsche Fonds Holding GmbH. It’s very important to us to use your personally identifiable data correctly. This Privacy Policy informs you about the processing of your personally identifiable data in connection with website use.

www.dfh-group.de
(the „website“)

Responsible for the processing of personally identifiable data in connection with the website pursuant to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Deutsche Fonds Holding GmbH
Friedrichstraße 14
70174 Stuttgart
Germany
(„DFH“, „we“, „us“)."

II. The Processing of Your Data

1. When using the website solely for informational purposes – i.e., you do not actively provide us with any information – we do not collect any personally identifiable data, with the exception of the data that your browser automatically transmits in order to enable your visit to the website, including:
– IP address
– Access date and time
– Data volume transmitted

We are unable to trace this information back to any one person. The aforementioned processing of data occurs solely for the purpose of enabling website use (connection). If the aforementioned data being processed is personally identifiable data, the corresponding processing of these data is based on Art. 6(1)(1)(f) of the GDPR (legitimate interest on the basis of the purpose mentioned above).

2. If you contact us using the contact details available on the website, any of your data transmitted during the contact process are used to respond to your inquiry (for example, we will process your email address if you contact us via email).

The legal basis for processing the aforementioned personally identifiable data is Article 6(1)(1)(f) of the GDPR (legitimate interests). This legitimate interest derives from the fact that we cannot carry out the action desired by the user (for example, responding to inquiries) without processing the data. If the purpose of contact is to conclude a contract, the legal basis for processing may also be Art. 6(1)(1)(b) of the GDPR (contract fulfillment or pre-contractual measures).

3. We use cookies on our website (provided you consent to the use of such tools in connection with your visit to the website when you access the website [the first time]). Cookies are small text files that are stored in the memory of your browser and whose data enable technical session control. In particular, we use such cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our website. No personal connection can be derived from the cookies.

We use session cookies to recognize that you have already visited individual pages of our website. These are automatically deleted when you leave our website.

To optimize user-friendliness, we also use temporary cookies, which are stored on your device for a specified period of time. This applies particularly to the cookie banner, which appears the first time you visit the website and allows you to confirm the aforementioned use of cookies by clicking on “OK.” If you visit our website again, the website automatically recognizes that you have already visited us and remembers your entries and settings, so that you don’t have to repeat the process. Two cookies are used for the cookie banner and are automatically deleted after a period of one year.

You can configure your browser in such a way that it prevents cookies from being stored or always displays a notice before a new cookie is created. However, complete cookie deactivation may prevent you from being able to (fully) use all of the functions on our website.

The legal basis for the aforementioned processing of personally identifiable data (provided this data is, in fact, personally identifiable) is Art. 6(1)(1)(a) of the GDPR (consent).

III. Sharing Data with Third Parties
The personally identifiable data collected in connection with website use are not passed on to third parties or transmitted in any other way without your consent, with the exception of the cases expressly described in this Privacy Policy.

We provide your personally identifiable data to third parties when required to do so by law (for example, when requested by a court of law or law enforcement authorities). The legal basis for this type of data processing is Art. 6(1)(1)(c) of the GDPR (legal obligation).

We may also use technical service providers to process personally identifiable data on our behalf (for example, IT service providers). These service providers process the corresponding personally identifiable data solely in accordance with our instructions (processors). The legal basis for this type of data processing is Art. 28 of the GDPR (processing), generally in connection with (i) Art. 6(1)(1)(f) of the GDPR (legitimate interest; see the corresponding legitimate interests under numbers II.1. and II.2. above) and/or with (ii) Art. 6(1)(1)(b) of the GDPR (contract fulfillment or pre-contractual measures; see number II.2. above).

IV. Duration of Retention of Your Personally Identifiable Data
If no other duration of retention is specified by the other rules in this Privacy Policy, your personally identifiable data collected in connection with the website will only be stored for as long as it is necessary to process your inquiries and thereafter only in the scope required by legal data retention obligations. Once we no longer require your data for the aforementioned purposes, they will not be processed for any other purposes and will only be stored for the legally required retention period.

V. Your Rights
You have the right to request from us information about your personally identifiable data stored by us at any time. If the legal requirements are met, you also have the rights to rectification, erasure, or the restriction of processing of the corresponding data, as well as the right to object to the processing of your data by us.

If you have consented to the use of personally identifiable data, you can revoke your consent at any time with future effect.

If you believe that our processing of your personally identifiable data violates applicable data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
